Parenting...
Today I learned how easy it is to forget that your child's mind doesn't work the same as your own! Sounds like a ridiculous concept, but how easy is it to forget that they haven't the world experience - in fact, every moment is the building of their world experience. I suppose that's true of anyone, if you believe like I do that there is no such thing as finally getting to the point in your life where you've always imagined you'd be. Life is fluid, linear continuous and finite - all in one. So now I will go read Winnie the Pooh, and try to remember that for a five year old, telling your grandmother you're sorry you made a nasty face at her might be just a little more intimidating than I would have thought. On the other hand, apologizing doesn't seem to get any easier as we grow...

OK, let's try again...
I would have loved to see that nasty face... I bet it would have been familiar. :)
